A multi-faceted education… The programme provides a basic education in traditional photography for future professional photographers and for students who want to develop their technical skills and personal expression in photography. The courses include teaching in photographic techniques and visual expression through classical as well as modern techniques, ranging from black-and-white basic techniques to digital image processing.
…in well-equipped workshops… The teaching programme includes the study of light, composition, image design, photo-journalism and artistic expression through photographic techniques. It aims to give every student a strong technical and visual foundation. Every student must learn how to work in varying conditions and to solve photographic problems independently as well as to transmit information and convey emotions and atmospheres through their photographs. New knowledge is tested in practical exercises and tasks. Some courses are taught by visiting teachers, who are specialists in their own fields. The programme has well-equipped studios and laboratories for both black-and-white and colour photography as well as computers for digital image processing.
…gives you a good start in a profession or further study… Further study at university level often requires a basic education and good technical skills. We can give you a good start if you want to go into a profession or if you want to go on to advanced study.
